HELP: Best Brake/Suspension Up-Grade
Hi folks!
PPP has now been fitted and is pure magic....so much better than I thought!
Anyway, the car will now need better brakes and suspension to cope and so I need some advice about what works best and how much it costs etc. For your information, the car is a 4-door, standard apart from PPP, with 16" wheels....is it worth going to 17" wheels too....?
Cheers

Almost a *dumb-**** question
Scoobysport Brembo/APs & Leda B
It's enough to make PTMW! more than a match for WRX, STi, RB5, P1, 22B & a lot more besides

No need for 17s (asthetics??)
Well, works for me

i had prodrive suspension on my old my00. it lowers the car , looks good. enabled me to corner a bit quicker too. ride sometimes felt a little 'fidgety', maybe due to 17" wheels, i dunno.potholes were my worst nightmare
did i think it was worth 1.5k? no. maybe if i did trackdays etc, maybe i would have thought differently. the one thing i wish i HAD done was get stronger brakes. never experienced the prodrive upgrade, but if its good, it would be the first thing i'd do to a scooby. i also had ppp too, good innit

Please notice the winkie (

Scoobysport supply both the Brembo/AP kit & the Leda B (
)
I currently have both fitted to PTMW! & with such an equipped car, find that the aforementioned versions of Impreza are "easy meat" on track (
). Not sure what your long-term aims are but the SS (Scoobysport) stuff is well suited to the "full works" spec you requested. The brake package in itself is awesome & allowed me to recently do a 45 min non-stop session on track with full confidence (& I don't drive like a *****
). Leda, whilst seemingly a bit harsher whilst slow, is in fact a better set up for fast A-B type driving. On track is excellent as you just dial-up the settings & go play
Mind you - best part of £3K new
but they are "the works"

As we are currently going the Scoobysport Leda and Brembo/AP route on our MY01's, and while you are busy having WW3 with Puff hehe (
) - note smilies - just to clarify your question - SS do supply the whole package but the Leda suspension is fitted at Leda (in Braintree, just down the road) and includes a full set-up and alignment.
