I was thinking of changing my RB5 to a P1 (again) and went on-line to Directline to get some idea's on insurance. Well, to insure a P1 was £1399. I also saw a 22B on their list so I thought lets have a look then...well...£1349 £50 cheaper for a UK spec 22B car.
Does this make any sense?

I have a clean license, no claims, full protected NCD and it has come in £700 more than my RB5 with mods. It's not the price I'm talking about, it's the fact that a £40kish UK 22B is cheaper to insure than a P1. If I could get a P1 insured for under a grand then I might be tempted but I think I will stick with my RB5 and do a ECU change for the more power I desire.

I got money back on my insurance when I went from MY99 with PPP and big wheels/spoiler to standard 22B type UK. Made me laugh, Saving £50 a year like that I could pay for upgrade from MY99 to 22B in only 300years! Bargain! LOL
