Louisa is going up to buy her car... a 96 (I think) WRX STi V-Ltd.... nice.

Question is... is there anyone in the area who knows scoobys well enough to check it out???

Anything we should look out for?

Able to help...Nope...Rums clueless when it comes to most things...especially engines!!

...if it was down to me, I'd buy cos it looked good!!!...DOH

Yep I'm in the area, but like Rum couldn't tell a good car from a bad one!

I believe Rum uses Golden in Huddersfield for servicing.

yup...I use Goldens...tho I'm not sure what their stance is with regard to STi's...however their overall service is superb (IMHO)

I would also strongly recommend K T Greens...however, again I am unsure what their stance is with regard to STi's.

I believe there is a garage in Ilkley that specialises in Scoobs amongst other performance cars...but...as you've probably guessed...I have no idea of the name!! *sigh*

I guess I haven't really been much help...c'est la vie...

Being vaguely mechanically minded, we;ve decided to chance it.

Can check suspension etc etc etc. Only we cant check are thing like the turbo, but since he has a boost gauge, that should tell all.

What PSI should it be boosting at? Anyone know what to look for?

When are you coming up, there should be some *very* knowledgeable people in the area at the end of the week 'cos there is a Croft track day on Friday, don't know if you could get the car to Croft or not, would get plenty of opinions!!
