Im in the middle of trying to locate a 2nd hand engine for my 94 wrx jap import and a company called parts master called me today to tell me they have one.Its the same age as the car,is within my budget and there offering 3 months unlimited mileage on it.problem is myself and the guy i bought the car off have never heard of them and they want me to pay up front for the engine asits still on its way over from japan.Could someone rest my fears and tell me theve used or know parts master and there parts/warranties are ok.Much abbliged jammin:O)

 

If you dont get any response and still want to use them, you could pay on Barclaycard (if you have one of course), that would give you an insurance.

I think most of the 'bigger' card companies will underwrite a purchase...if its not right they would intervene and deal directly with the 'vendor'.

True - barclaycard will refund you in full first then sort out the supplier...

sorry to hear that:O( Thing is im being very cautios cos this cars allready cost me plenty and ive been let down twice allready.1st it arrived off the boat with a buggered engine(hence why im looking)2nd i bought one last week only to be told the engine i bought was also buggered and it took ages to get my money back off them(didnt think it was coming back at all).

 

YES, Ive heard of them. Thats all. No experience of them, nor do I know of anyone with any. Dont you have a mate with a card who you could give the money to up front, then he could pay, and then if it goes titsup his card company will sort it, and you know he's got your pennies safe and you arent robbed.

I'd do it for MY mate!
