I know with most cars, when they reach over 100k that the price falls dramatically, (due to people not wanting the high milage cars). VW Golfs dont seem to be so badly effected by this, as everyone knows the engines go on and on.
Does the Impreza's loose lots of value as milage gets high ? What is the highest milage you would look at when buying a second hand impreza?

Mileage isn't the issue - it's what it's done over that mileage. A car always run hard on short journeys, generally abused and not serviced will be much worse after 15k than a well serviced motor that had done 120k going along motorways at 75mph. Only problem is, very few people buy scoobs to plod up motorways at 75mph .

If you're buying one and not hoping to sell it on, a well loved high miler can be a bargain, IMHO

My scoob had 7 miles on the clock when it arrived on my driveway, which also had it's merits

Provided you are replacing a high mileage Scooby with a newer one from a Subaru dealer then you will normally get a sensible price or a more than fair deal to change.

A number of the independent (Not big groups who need to turn the stock) Subaru dealers will retail higher mileage cars so they will still have a small profit potential to play with.

Not diesel type resale at high miles, but not that bad against say a Citroen,Peugeot etc
