We are going on holiday next week travelling through Europe (EU) and ending up in Czech Republic (non EU)
Is it compulsory to have the UK sticker on the back of the car?

I don’t really want it there so will I be in any trouble (as I ever would be )

Thanks for help

I think it is compulsory to display where you are from but when was the last time you saw a foreign car over here with an apropriate sticker on it?

Bit more pricey than a 50p sticker, but you could get some new number plates made up with GB/UK/Eng/Sco/Wal, etc on them

How much anyone?

the number plate would be the only option, but the UK law can be diff. from the non EU countries.

so i wanted to find out whether someone went to non EU without the sticker b4

On the drive to Le Mans only around 10% of cars had a sticker and it's doubtfull they had the other required equipment. I got a tiny sticker from Halfords that added the blue strip to my number plate worked a treat.

You are meant to use them but I never do.

It shouts "I am a helpless tourist, please rob me at gun point".

Cool

I bought a magnetic one at the eurotunnel port in Folkstone it is pretty cool and tested to 150mph, cost about 2.99 I think.

Steve

Pete don't the british number plates do that without the need for a GB Sticker?????

I got a set of plates made up by one of scoobynet's banner advertisers, www.fancyplates.com . Very quick service (next day)and cost including delivery was about £18 for the pair. The reg plate is all you need to comply with EU law, without one or the other you could be denied access to certain countries.

I didnt like the GB sticker idea either because as already said it says tourist, at least the plate doesnt look so obvious from a distance.

Hehe dodatocne som si vsimol, ze neodpisujem Velrybe priamo Necham pre srandu tak, ako to bolo povodne napisane:

Vsimol som si, ze Katka otvorila podobnu temu
Pred nejakym casom som ti tu pisal, ci vies, co znamena velryba, spominas si?
Mam MY98 s SS DP,BB, nejaky Powerflex, Tarox kotuce a Mintex 1155 oblozenie ...

Erik
