Had a big blast to Spain recently and started getting some noisy rumbling sound from both front brakes in the middle of one very high speed slow down (bloody Renault 4's!). This persisted for days of subsequent 'baby braking' (all dealers closed) until I got back, and now seems absent.

Noise was totally like worn pads noise - but if that was the case why doesn't it do it now, and why did it do it at all speeds on the way back? Doubt if it was any motorway stone getting in?

Pads have done 13K, of which only a few laps of the Ring were they caned.

Why has it now gone is really my question? I guess I will put some new ones on anyway - any recommendations?

Thanks!

PS just got a Bel Euro 550 after being done by a 'zero tolerance or discretion' camera on an empty dual carrigeway at a speed over the speed limit that I can actually run at with my own legs! Is it any good & any special setups to do for UK?

My Euro 550 is simply set to the uk mode with no other mods.

Seems to be doing a grand job at the moment (touch wood) LOL

Any advanced setup tips from advanced users appreciated
