Default Wales Roadtrip

I’m thinking of arranging a days road trip into South/mid Wales in October for any fellow scooby owners. I’ve done this many time before with other marques of car and we’ve always had great days out regardless of the weather. The plan will be to leave around 8am from Ross-on-Wye (bottom of the M50) and return around 5pm covering around 200 miles in the day.

If anyone is interested please message me. I’ve created a FB group chat and once we have a group we’ll then arrange a date that best suits the majority. I normally cap the number at 8 so as to not make the logistics for the day too difficult.

If you’re interested please message me. Cheers Rich 👍🏻

It’s no bother - I’m always popping out across into Wales as it’s becoming harder to find good, quiet drivers roads in England now. And always enjoyable meeting different owners/cars 👍🏻

Dave, your car will never be finished - if you don’t come you’ll regret it 😁

Really, I found Welsh roads to be full of speed camera vans etc don't see half as many in England.

In the south I’d agree, but never encountered any in central Wales - some fabulous roads and very quiet compared to the majority of England.

The date for the Roadtrip is Sat 15th Oct. I’d appreciate whether those that said they were interested could now confirm/decline as I want to keep the numbers to a sensible level. We had c.12 interested but would prefer only around 8 otherwise logistics becomes very difficult to coordinate.

From here (scoobynet) I had the following; NOSSY_89, Johno01, Steve B, fpan. Would appreciate if you could confirm either way so that we have confirmed numbers.

Plan is to meet in Ross-on-Wye at the bottom of the M50 at 0800, and return around 1700 covering c.200 miles. I’ve just come back from a long weekend up in central Wales and travel up most months with various car groups. I can confirm some brilliant roads (if not the weather!)

So I made the decision I'm not taking a lot of time out over summer to do the car.I'll pick up working on it during winter now. Unfortunately you'll have to count me out mate.

I was spending a whole day at a time on it with very little progress and as some of the guys know I only have one day a week free. So I thought stuff it let me try and enjoy summer without it because realistically it wasn't going to be finished soon.

A decision I had to make.
