Hawkeye headlights

Smile Hawkeye headlights

Hi
i have a 2006 WRX and I want to change the headlights , can anyone tell me if the originals are Xenon or something else?

The dipped beams are xenon the high beams are halogen.

Thanks for the info , so if the custom headlights are not compatible with xenon or HID , there no good for me ?

If you're car has headlight washers fitted, (the little lumps on top of the front bumper in front of the headlights) then you have the HID headlights. Leave them be. You have auto headlight levelling too. That's the clue, because cars that don't have the headlight adjuster switch in the dash next to the fog lights.,

If you have hid , i found some quality branded hid upgrade bulbs, from memory they were osram , a quick swap out and the lights were 30 per cent brighter and better beam spread , well worth doing , i had the standard subaru hids bulbs fitted before

it was an ebay job 50 to 55£ delivered , if you go to subaru it’s something silly like 140£ , but these upgrades were very good , don’t by cheap un branded as i did first time , the cheap bulbs were a waste of time and crap , buy a branded as per osram i think they are called night breakers but i’m not sure

i maybe wrong but i think it’s actually written on the headlight at the top where the bonnet shuts ?

MY06 Hawkeye WRX AFAIK comes with HID (projector type) dip beam D2S bulbs and HB3 12v60w Main beam bulbs

OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Laser D2S (Twin)

OSRAM Night Breaker Laser 150% HB3 (Twin)
