Default Induction kit

Hi . I tryed to put a a induction kit on my wrx 2003 red blobeye . Installed and the car was stalling and not liking the drive the maf was on the right way and is fine . Any ideals why that would be . Have put the stock air box with a hks air panel in . Running fine now . Just wanted to hear the turbo spool a bit more .

As above it will need mapping to suit, they do sound great when on boost, the best sounding and probably best performing is the rcm version which is a large k&n filter with the rcm trumpet. Great sound from them

as above remap needed , you could fit it , reset the ecu , drive carefully to get it somewhere to get it mapped , ecu is confused as to what’s going on due to the change in the air getting into the engine , i had a cone filter for a while it did improve performance the boost noise was great but i get fed up with the noise all the time

If you view all the road tests they gain no extra power

i agree little to be gained from them , not a good idea having one sitting in a hot engine bay , but put one in a wing with a cold air feed and a remap then possibly a minimal gain to be had , i’ve stuck with a performance panel filter in standard air box on both of my scoobies , my ute the gains are bonkers it’s around 40bhp + with a map but the v8 suck a load of air in , but funnily enough not a massively noticeable gain in on the road performance
