Default Perrin radiator shroud

I installed my new Perrin radiator shroud on my 2005 WRX. It looks pretty cool except it gets mostly hidden by some plastic air intake gubbins. See pics.. Does this intake play any key role or can I ditch it.

You could get an aftermarket cone or shroom air filter that means you can remove the plastic air intake

An induction kit would require a remap. Why not run a cold air feed with some ducting from lower down behind the fog lights etc to the std air box?

why not just leave the snorkel on. Its not as if you'll be driving about, or parked up, with the bonnet open.

I thought this if you go to a show and have the bonnet up take it off and put it on again 😊

i thought that also, but if you done that then every other person who owned a subaru at the show would think/ask "why on earth are you not running a snorkel you'll be sucking in hot air" and youd get pissed off after so many people asking

May as well leave the snorkel on at a show, people will still notice the Perrin part.

It's black so nice and stealthy, but everyone will see it.

Can always get rid of the snorkel and put air ducts on your light and fog cover haha
