Ha, only a cambelt change and waterpump, plus a 3 port boost solenoid and fuel pressure regulator to try and get rid of the great stutter. I've still got your actuator so will ask if it's needed. Martyn originally mapped it, and said at the time that the boost was tricky to control, so I hope it will be a bit smoother with the 3pbs. And the air pump unplugged and mapped out; Alan said blanking off was pointless unless the engine was out for something else.
I have a yellow spec c hatch since last week, only taken 2.5 months to get it registered.
ah, the one Darren imported?
Jap Performance Parts bought in a white wrecked one and rebuilt it, and Darren sold a white one with a forged engine( you built it?) to the Whiteline guys in Scotland. Weren't the Litchfield hatches spec C as well?
I think ours took a while to register. Photos are compulsory you know, Paul!

Ah cool, so all are yellow lol.
Why so long to register it, I've seen somewhere that someone was struggling to register a spec c hatch, is it a problem registering or is it just the process. I know the r205 are on hold till 2 years or so, but the spec c hatch is ok isint it?
What do folk make of the white one hurst cars have got? I can't understand the half painted black on underside if anyone has noticed?
Thing is, I'm looking at importing or buying one next, hence the interest.
I didn't know you could get silver? Thought it was just yellow, blue and white?
Re the airpump, I had valves sticking open, but 2 tanks of vpower (normally use Tesco) and a 220 mile ragging, plus dry weather, seems to have freed the valves.

Yes its the one Darren imported, I did build the engine for the white one, some of the Litchfields were spec c's not all, I have one booked in for an engine build that is not based on a spec c.
Its waiting to get an SVA test that's a big wait, we got a cancelled one in the end, & there are very few testing stations now.

Very nice . One day I'll be visiting for an engine refresh, as mine is a keeper. Beauty.
I love the Yellow, as with Hedgecutter and any other yellow Spec C owners, I'm up for a swap anytime
Any plans for it engine wise?
No plan to do anything engine wise, other than ditch the cold start air pump system, tweak the map etc, just bore scoped it, & leakage tested, new plugs etc, its all good.
Find a decent audio unit, & the cat 1 alarm system.
Anyway, the fuel lab fpr that someone sold me from the hatch FB page was`nt suitable. Starting to get a single crack/pop upon moving first thing in the morning, from front passenger side. This has also occurred once when turning left, and once when doing a poor gear change. This front corner has had a low speed grumble when turning since I`ve had it, 22 000 miles ago, and also knocks at low speed, turning. Control arm bushes, top mount bearings and sway bay bushes and links have been replaced, so now I`m suspecting cv joints or wheel bearings, but the new crack/pop is like a spring reseating. The steering is quiet when static , lock to lock, but the steering wheel does vibrate mildly at motorway speeds. Any suggestions?
