Default Gc8 models - colour coded spats and addition corner spats

Hi guys

I have a 1997 version 3 sti. I recently had side skirts and rear spats colour coded with rest of car.

I an curious to kbow what gc8 models actually got colour coded side skirts and rear bumper spats as standard.
Also keen to know what gc8 models got the additional bolt on sport spats for ends of side skirts and rear bumper spats

hopefully thst makes sense!!

Thanks

Believe that will be version 5 and 6 JDM models. As UK version 5 and 6 colour coded mirrors and skirts and rear bumper extensions and door handles.

They were a dealer fit option.

That would make sense. Mine is a 93 WRX and they were black originally - I also had mine colour coded along with the skirts and door handles.

A dealer option rather than standard in any particular model- explains a lot thanks!

On the subject - I am not entirely sure I like them on the cars.... look a bit too much

just me on that??

Very nice car rossyboy. I have an unpainted set that I have test fitted on my Type R but didn't quite like the rear ones but they do look so much better when painted.

As far as I am aware, UK cars:

MY99: did not have colour-coded mirrors, door handles or side skirts/bumper extensions.
MY00: had colour-coded mirrors and door handles.

Side skirts weren't colour-coded, but a lot have since been painted. Might be different for special editions, P1 definitely.

I'm not sure on this either, my UK 99 has colour coded mirrors and door handles from the factory.
