Crystal Grey only zero badges on the outside, this car doesn't look very SpecDish to me. The car is running 274bhp with a remap, who mapped it? The standard PPP takes the SpecD to 316.
Something not quite right IMO , It could well be a WRX (wasn't it the SL with leather interior?)
Can't quite see on the phone but I can't make out if the steering wheel/handbrake have red stitching as it should.

My old hawk sti was NOT a spec D but when the registration number was put in to web sites such as HPI it came up as a spec D so maybe this is a proper STI with a WRX spoiler fitted and some clueless sales person has entered the details got the wrong results and is just going by them?

I've seen one or two black suposed spec-d's floating around. I'm not 100% sure if they all were silver.
Only way to know for sure will be to check the vin plate.
Also must have been for sale for a while, MOT ran out 12 months ago

If your interested in this car let me know, I live 2 miles up the road from them.
I think one of the workers there was a Scoobynet member who went by Padeyohoey or something like that, but I believe he might now have left.
Also found out that Chi works for them, occasionally doing engine work and a bit of mapping. (I reserve any judgment)
Robert.

since when did subaru dealers take a car in and forge the bottom end? when i went with my boss to buy his bug sti (which i now own) from our local dealers they had not one clue about the car at all. i found paperwork in the glovebox stating it had been mapped to 300 bhp. when i asked the salesman about it he said "whats mapped mean?" they had no idea at all. why would they take the car and decide to forge the bottom end? unless it had problems that warranted it needing done? strange indeed.
