Default What Impreza breakers are there in the South?

Hey guys,

I was in for a remap with FB Tuning yesterday and unfortunately the bottom end gave up mid map. It's not financially feasible for me to repair it with the car being a higher mileage WRX. I had no reason to expect the engine to fail (other than mileage) as it felt/sounded healthy, which is massively gutting as it's a great all round car.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend any breakers please? I'm in Surrey.

A few details on the car itself.

Base car:
2004 Impreza WRX SL w/ 153k on the clock
Heated leather interior in very good condition and working heaters
02C blue
MOT pass with no advisories

Mods (parts labelled virtually new were added yesterday):
Eibach lowering springs by PCA Dynamics (identical to the ProDrive springs)
Milltek 2.75 cat-back exhaust
Hayward and Scott rear cat delete pipe (virtually new)
Scoobyworx SW290 fuel pump (virtually new)Cosworth Panel Filter (virtually new)3 port boost control solenoid (virtually new)Speedline Turini 2120 18x8 ET48 in anthracite w/ 225/40/18 - Vredestein Vorti (these have probably covered 4 to 5k miles total, so tons of tread)
22mm Whiteline rear ARB
Genuine Subaru Wind Deflectors

Parts I'd potentially be looking to remove dependent on whether it makes much difference to price offered:
Speedline Turini 2120 18x8 ET48 in anthracite w/ 225/40/18 - Vredestein Vorti
Milltek 2.75 cat-back exhaust
Hayward and Scott rear cat delete pipe (virtually new)

I would of liked to split the car myself, but it sounds like a long painful process and I don't know if I can be bothered with that.

Any tips or advice on breakers would be awesome thanks guys

Thanks very much!

Matt

Do breakers break other people’s cars for a fee and allow the owner to retain the parts? I assumed they’d always buy the cars outright to break.

East Kent Subaru in Canterbury are generally well regarded.

Thanks very much dude! I'd remove the parts I wanted to keep and sell separately before handing it over to a breaker, returning it to mostly stock.

Wouldn't it be better to pick up a cheap WRX lump and drop it in?

Thanks for the offer dude, but unfortunately I can't afford to put any more money in to the car at the moment.

I would go for that option, but unfortunately you never really know what you're getting and it could go the same way (just without a remap) which means it could be wasted money... but than again it could be solid. I don't know if it'd be worth the gamble on a car of this mileage. If it was lower miles then I'd definitely be doing this.

If the car is still at FB Tuning - there is a breaker based in Leighton Buzzard (I guess about 45 mins from FB)?
