Default Suspension handling upgrades

Hi
I have a slightly modified 2001 bugeye wrx which I've had for 10 years. I'm looking at replacing some of the handling suspension parts but don't know too much about what I need to get. I've been reading up on ARB and drop links etcwgiich look quite well priced. I have not upgraded or replaced any of my parts apart from lowered springs. Can anyone advise me, I've had a look on the SN and I'm sure it's been mentioned before but any advice on items and manufacturers etc would be helpful.

Cheers
Grant

Uprated drop-links wont have much effect on handling on their own. They are worth fittings as they help maintain geomentary through corners and give a slightly firmer ride. They won't really improve handling in isolation though.

A slightly thicker rear ARB is good and any increase in front castor/neg camber is beneficial. Then a proper 4 wheel alignment. It all needs to be done together though, just fitting parts by themselves won't see much benefit. Obviously decent tyres are important and it's worth making sure all the other parts (rod ends, bushes, shocks etc) and in good fettle.

The brakes are something of aa
weak point in the wrx (mine definitely were when i got my wagon). If you're looking to spend some money then they'd also be worth upgrading.

Cheers technopug for that information that's very useful, I will definitely look into all of that. It's going into the garage on Friday for an oil change etc just before japfest, so I will get my mate to check the condition of those parts.
I have already fitted brembo calipers and bigger discs cheers buddy

i reckon fresh shocks and decent lowered springs with a 20 or 22 rear ARB and a good alignment will feel miles better than worn out wrx kit-
