Default Hawkeye / Blobeye Rear Lights. Opinions?

Hello,

Picked these up on Saturday. We're in very good condition. Spent a hour or so, machine polishing, sealing and waxing them to remove swirls and some light scratches.

They are now mint. So opinions fellow Scoobynetters. I'm undecided as to which ones to keep. Lol.
What do you think?

Hate to say it but put the O.E. ones back on. Your car screams 2006 model (although the rear STI badge looks in the wrong place) and with the rear badge and early lights it looks frankly like a bitsa.

The Hawk only came in two flavours, 06 with the grey inners and 07 with the full on Lexi silver. Anything else makes it look like a chopped about Bug or Blob...

Blob lights all the way, did the same to mine and it looks loads better in my opinion, only thing I would say is get some clear or smoked indicator bulbs and get rid of the fried egg look.

If you like the clear ones debadge the rear as said above and it'll look much tidier
Most will prefer the red ones but it's all about what you like as it's your car both looks are nice if done right

FRIED EGGS! made my day

I changed my hawk to blobeye rear lights but I also tinted just the clear section of the blob lights 1 shade darker to make them look different.

Okay. After fitting the lights, I've decided I'm going back to OEM. Car hasn't even been out since. Lol. Lights have been machine polished, sealed and waxed. Therefore. £100 takes them. Cheers.

I do like the hawk rear lights compared to my blob rears and did consider them but m.b developments had a set of blob tinted ones forsale. Ive fitted them along with smoked side repeaters and it really does look the part with my black mudflaps, black detango front light mod, black wheels etc. Ill post a pic up next time i get car out

Mate, I was under the impression the law regarding private regs is an older plate than the car's age can be used, but not a newer plate, eg. a 2005 car can be fitted with a 51 plate, but not an 08 plate. So how come you have a 58 plate on a Hawk? Cheers!

My GB270 is a "58", plate. I wonder when/what the last "hawkeye", was built?

The last were built late 07, early 08 as the production line scaled down for the change
