Default Power increase at 135k

Thinking of getting my standard bugeye wrx near the 300 bhp mark but with 135k on it I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.......am I heading for trouble?

As long as its been serviced and looked after, 300BHP should be ok.

go with a sensible tune , more power more stresses , it's a 2 litre so tend to be more durable , wrx gearbox not as strong as the sti one

Go for a decent mapper but also get a compression test done before you start to make sure everything is ok before you start.
Apologies if this is stating the obvious but it's also worth doing a really through service, plugs, all filters, engine gearbox and diff oil. Also clean maf and boost solenoid (if you're not going 3 port).

Have a health check done on a rolling road before you start

My blob wrx had over 100k when I bought it, it made 242bhp with no mods

I modified it over 4 years ago to 330bhp and now has 115k miles
