Most of you can remember the NBO which I ran for 11 successful years

We had regular numbers when I ran it of between 320-415 cars every year


If I get another interest between now and April

The NBO reunion will happen

The cars have maybe changed but the hundreds of people that used to love the NBO concept haven't

I only ever went once, a couple years back and it was a nice day out with plenty of nice scoobs!

Simon if its scoob related your after this is on the same day run by the same people who used to help organise the NBO,the NBO now no longer exists and it hasnt for the last few years.

Lol, yep! I think I might start a new club/meet. I shall call it... NBO!!! Really p!$$ everyone off.

 

John Created the NBO The Northern Big One in 2001 if I recall. John was a Member of Cumbrian Scoops who then took it over a couple of years ago, But the decisions that were made at a meeting John didn't attend which shouldn't have been about the NBO Created tension as it should not have been on the agenda.

We are looking towards planning a reunion for all those that don't want to travel down to york next year

Nothing to do with Scoobyfest as that is a different location and will suit people that don't want to travel to Cumbria As lots of people no longer drive subarus but still like to meet up .

I've had lots of positive messages so it might happen
I formed the NBO way back in 2001 and parted company with Cumbrian scoobs 3 years ago and attend many other shows with another club

Nothing sinister

But the idea off a reunion is a similar static show but sharing it with another car show as I don't have the backing of a big club anymore to share workload

I think I did enough for 11 years raising over 50k
The final 2 NBO didn't seem to have the hugh numbers so Cumbrian scoobs formed the Scoobyfest
Which i didn't attend last year .

The show we attended
Last year at carlisle was a great show so the early vision was many people that want to attend can come and catch up with us to remember the good old days

No doubt I will get hate mail
but totally different event and location so people can choose where to go

Well I know where I won't be going. Either of them.

As much as I like, respect miss meeting up people like Gussy, I won't go to York Raceway anymore, as the access road and pretty much everything about the place is attrocious. Same goes for John, I simply can't be arsed to drive over to Cumbria on a Sunday morning though.

Hopefully both will have a good turn out, and bridges can be rebuilt by John and CS.
