arggh new rocker cover gasket does not fit????

Default arggh new rocker cover gasket does not fit????

hey
so went to fit the LH side rocker cover gasket got every thing apart tried to put new gasket on and does not fit seems alittle off and different shap this is what i bought and said it fitted but it does not
Subaru Forester S/Turbo 98-02 LH Rocker Cover Gasket Kit
new on the right side

new gasket on top

mine is the ej20 forester sti 2001

what gasket shall i purchase?

ah dear lord...

so when i ordered this i popped the bonnet had a look at the engine bay
drivers side been left passenger side been right when looking at it in that position
*****! take it you order it from sitting in the car that been the right side

The JDM STi and the UK S-turbo have the same gaskets. (Have cross checked)

When you purchased a LH set, was that LH looking forward from the drivers seat and not stood in front of the car looking at the engine?

Usually the RH set go due to heat from the exhaust.

Damn - took too long checking if different

Hello i have just changed my valve cover gasket parts from roger clark and i did the drivers side which on the seal package is the r/h side you look from inside the car

lmao

i said left hand side becouse looking in the engine bay didnt kno was from sitting in car.. i cant be the first to do that error surely hahaha

Original part number 13270AA160
updated to 13270AA161 and then to 13270AA162

The steering wheel is on the right-hand side so I guess it follows from where you're sitting in the car.

Yes most defiantly you are the only one to ever make that mistake
I thought I had a left hand drive car until I realised I was sat on the right.
