Question Timing belt - which one?

So I'm looking to have the cam belt changed on my type R but which do I go for? Gates, Dayco, HKS, Cosworth, STi? Aren't they all made by Goodyear? Is this everything I need?.... http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=10848

I'm going to have everything changed (as per 90k service), car has only covered around 60-65k though. What's the rough cost of having a 90k service done? I'll be supplying the parts. I guess I need the following: cam belt kit, engine oil & filter, fuel filter, coolant, spark plugs (NGK?), gearbox and diff oils, brake fluid. Does the thermostat not get changed at the same time as the cam belt? Anything I'm missing?

Never ordered from Mark at ICP before but I'm assuming he supplies quality parts? Any other suppliers I can call to compare prices?

ICP are good traders
Gates/dayco will do you just fine.
Alyn @ ASperformance also does the same kits at similar prices.

All timing belts are made by Dayco so I wouldn't worry too much about paying for a premium brand, just buy the cheapest one you can find, Ie retailer that marks them up the least.

I've always found ICP to be very competitive on price and the parts are always good quality. I've never heard a bad thing about AS Performance, although I've never used them.

Also, if you're getting the timing belt done, have a look at the radiator as well. If you look at the sides of the unit they should be straight up and down. If they are bulging out then it's starting to collapse and is due to be replaced.

I'd replace the crank oil seal whilst it's stripped and infront of you, just for a piece of mind.

Thanks all No one has mentioned the thermostat though? Think I'll change it as the coolant's getting done anyway.

Thought gates were the main manufacturers.

I used the Gates timing belt kit from ICP, not had any issues, replaced all idlers, belt, water pump, thermostat etc.

When it comes to coolant be careful what you use (no color doesn't mean s**t) the are different chemicals used in the inhibitors and mixing them can cause sludge to be formed and also some chemicals corrode alloys etc.

I flushed the system completely and used Motul Inugel Ultra due to it being Nitrite free, amine free, phosphate free, borate free, silicate free. A lot seem to not be silicate free etc like Motul Expert for example.
