Yeah almost feel as though whoever hides the plate when someone is surely going to want to insurance quote too buy the car, is hiding something! Nice clean car though shame about the potentially stolen or finance owed situation.

Zero feedback is a bit suspicious too...

Scam, I'm sure I recognise those photos from when it was for sale a few months ago.

The seller has 0 feedback and they are encouraging you to contact them via email, my guess is that the owner is abroad and the car (which doesn't exist) will be shipped to you after you've paid for it.

Normal scam IMO.

All details tie up with the MOT but a full HPI check would be worth it.

It's actually about the price that these should be... if we hadn't had 7 or 8 years of insane loose monetary policy, with money printing and zero interest rates resulting in huge amounts cheap cash sloshing around the economy creating asset price bubbles everywhere.

Here's the reply to my viewing request.......

Hi,

First of all I want to thank you for your interest in my 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.0 WRX STi
There are no issues with this vehicle, she has been diligently maintained by a careful dealer and has been regularly serviced, it has full service history (67,500 miles) and HPI clear. The vehicle is being stored in Smethwick, West Midlands. The final price that I want for this vehicle is £5,977 (including shipping and handling). I'm selling it because I've just moved abroad. Unfortunately I can't conclude this transaction personally because my work involves a lot of traveling but I left everything prepared for the sale.

Many thanks

I have been considering an impreza for a while now and stumbled across the auto trader add for this car a week or so ago. I suspect a scammer has pinched the pictures and readvertised it. 2 mins before finding this thread I called the owner. Car is kept in Newark apparently and still for sale at £9600. Is that a good price?

When I called the owner he said he'd had it three and a half years and done less than 10k miles, but when I asked a few question specific to widetrack he seemed to know very little about them. He also said it flew through the last mot yet online checker showed it needed both rear shocks which caused it to fail. It passed two weeks later. I really want this particular model but know next to nothing about Subaru's as I've never had one, this is the first car I've been interested in and it seems a little fishy. Should I forget about it?
