Only way to confirm for sure is to get it on a dyno.

300bhp is easily attainable in these cars and from the mods you have listed it should be in the region of about 300bhp as long as it has indeed been remapped correctly.

I have a AlcaTek ECU and it uses the OEM casing, so other than some extra wires coming out of the casing, it looks standard.

Hi why did you buy it if you didn't trust the guy who sold it?

As above. Did you get any receipts for the work done?

300 brake bruv innit

Went to see a blobeye wrx the other night claiming 300bhp on a td04 with a £25 ebay induction kit and all the cats still on the car, engine management light shining away on the dash. Thanks, I'll pass on that lol.

your 1st job will be to get it to an ecutek mapper and spend £550 getting it running right.

A 16 year old td04 on a 16 year old wrx/uk2000 engine is likely to make around 280bhp, if the actuator is up to the job.

I agree, get it to a decent subaru specialist and work out what you've got and get it running right.

no, theres too many cheap **** td05's on ebay etc and unless its reputable TD05 there are better options. Get a VF series turbo, vf35 off a newer sti is the most common upgrade.

If you're getting it mapped you're going to have some travelling to do, theres no ecutek mappers in essex, your nearest is Surrey Rolling Road I believe, or Zen in Northampton. `

What he said and as others have said get it on a dyno and see how its running. Might turn out to be fine and running sweet as a nut. Only one way to find out.
