If both are widetrack and you're putting the UK car into it. Presumably the engine loom would want swapping across with your ECU? I guess also locks would need swapping over to keep your coded keys with your ECU.

Anything else that could be a potential hiccup?

you could do it but I believe the jdms were twinscroll amongst other things so it wont be a genuine jdm.

on this site you're better getting no response over the normal sh1te that gets posted on here recently

A lot of knowledgeable members have been driven away by the trolling idiots that don't really know anything worthwhile

I thought the hubs and diffs were different on the jdm

If you are actually taking everything off the uk one and have got a jdm shell to put it all in, there shouldn't be many issues

If you have got a non runner uk and a non runner jdm, you might have issues with engine loom, diffs/driveshafts/hubs and keys

Can I ask why you are doing the swap?

Indicator/ wiper controls are on opposite sides so you may have problems with fitting them?

Hmm forgot about the stalks lol.

Yeah it would be a full UK car into just the JDM shell if I did it.

And the JDM car as a rear wiper in normal STi spec which the UK stalk does not cater for, unless it is a wagon.

If its a bare JDM shell and its a full swap over from the UK model then It would go in without much hassles, you would have a rear wash wipe that's no good to you without some work, or you could just change out the rear window and that's it gone.

Paperwork might be an issue if your registering the JDM shell.

biggest issue I can see is the insurance as they may well consider it a modified vehicle and with the number of mods from factory jdm spec could cause issues gaining insurance at a reasonable price.
Bare shell should be straightforward swap in theory.

There is proper procedure to reshell and regain the identity of the donor vehicle. The law has changed over the years so you'd be best to check with DVLA. If you never intend to sell it then it will make little odd's but to be completely correct, especially perhaps in the event of an insurance claim, I'd take advice . If you are retaining the jdm shell identity and simply building your UK components into it then it is much simpler. Everything will fit.

If you phone flux, make sure you are relaxed and have KY handy

£125 for 5 DAYS insurance when they shafted me on my quote

They asked what my mileage was, I said 4.5k in the last year. I accepted a quote that was slightly cheaper than my renewal quote, but when I got my policy through, it was limited to 3k miles! I phoned up to querey, they said 'tough', 'you agreed'. I didn't agree to 3k miles !!!!!!

£25 PER DAY, AND IT WAS IN MY GARAGE FOR 4 OF THOSE DAYS TOO!

Dan said 'he'd look into it'. I never heard a reply..........

Dan, you are touting for work/customers on here, Grow some ***** and help customers out that have been shafted by the company that you are getting work for

I bet Dan doesn't reply to this post

I don't particularly care too much for the identity of the donor being retained. Just need to take the plate off it before disposal. I think I'll wait for the right UK shell though just to keep it all simple.
