Default Few questions about removal of lower suspension

Im removing all of my suspension before getting it blasted and coated - just finding a few things a bit tricky:

Rear hubs - can't get lateral link bolt (long one) out at all, should i have left the shocks/springs on before attempting this? i think i made a boo boo as obviously now when i try to turn the long bolt the whole suspension moves up (or down)

Front hubs - does the bottom ball joint come out of the actual hub (is it supposed to?) . mine seems to be splitting near the gap where you put the screwdriver to separate it.

Both hubs - how do i take the abs off the front? ive undone the alan key bolts but that just releases a bit behind it. Also how do i take the bearings out (should i?) before getting them blasted, or should i just tape them up accordingly

Rear trailing arms etc - cant get access to it with my torque driver so really struggling to get these thick bolts off, even with pb blaster

front axles - how do i go about pushing the pin out? just a long thin punch on the flat side?

Hard to do all of this when the car is only 12" or so off the ground!

Any help appreciated!

Ash

you'll need an air gun for the rear hub bolts
yes the balljoint comes out of the front hub
Drop the entire rear cradle with the arb etc all attached, its easier to dismantle
use a suitable drift/punch to push the pins out.

I would be careful using a srew driver on top of the ball joint to get it out, I ended up splitting it a tiny bit too far, you wouldnt be able to tell by looking at it, only realised as when I replaced the ball joint the pinch bolt would only go half way in, wasnt cross threaded.

Had to get a hub off one of the breakers, on the other side I put the castle nut back on to the ball joint, then smacked the nut with a long screwdriver after using plenty of heat on the hub, the ball joint were very badly rusted in, but heat allowed them to move a millimeter at a time.

Made sure to clean the ball joint hole thoroughly, as even tiny bit of dirt wouldnt allow the new ball joint to sit properly, and plenty of copper grease.

Hope you have better luck than me
