My car has developed a very strange misfire like vibration on hot idle that can be felt in the drivers seat intermittently.

Sparkplugs look good, air filter is clean, and the car is using no oil or water.

I will be doing a compression test at the weekend, but I'm curious if any members have had a similar problem which turned out to be something different?
