So had some fly-eye tint on the headlights, which now need cleaning, so i was thinking other than de-tangoing is there anything else that i could do with them? Have seen the fibre glass or carbon fibre headlight covers, anyone tried these before ?
cheers
There's a company called headlight retrofits that have done some cool stuff, not so much the multi-coloured lights but they can do pretty much anything with the lights.
There's also the projector lights:

I've also done the black insert mod. Lots of right-ups if you do a search on here/Google.
Basically stick the headlight unit in the oven on low temp for a few minutes checking regularly for bits melting. Then when hot enough the headlight will split, take the insert out and paint. Then reheat and reseal the lights.
Some advise using a sealant when resealing, I didn't and my lights are still fine after 2+ years.

Leave as Subaru intended.
Headlight lens 'b@stardisation' is utter ****, IMO. (With the sole exception of de-tangoing, as necessary).

I done this on my Evo, However those lights didn't fit in my oven so what I done was put the light in a cardboard box cut a hole for the hair dryer and just put the front part in then let it warm it up for about 10 minutes the lens pulled of fairly easily, re-sealing it up was in reverse but one always seemed to condensate up ever after.
must admit the black inserts looks much better than the silver.
