Default Ohlins Refurb shocks/springs - how to? Or companies that do it

Just taken my shocks and springs off and found them to be Jdm Ohlins - (woo!!... I think?) . So begs the questions

How do i go about refurbing them myself? They're obviously not in great shape as they're around 20 years old..

Or are there uk companies that will refurb them and for what cost?

Also what are they worth ?! I can't find anything anywhere..

Ash

I'm obviously biased, but, if they can be rebuilt, I'd use my springs and matching internal bump stops.

Not active in a year and same for website/ Facebook so don't think I'll get any response! They don't have to be Ohlins specialists to refurb them do they?

At least they will have a warranty worth having and OE parts fitted. Have you thought of contacting Ohlins UK?

I can't seem to find a contact!

Ideally I'd just be wanting a refurb kit or somthing. Going to try to clean all the dirt/**** off the shock and then maybe (probably) replace the spring.

am i right in assuming the code is SUS7A00 for the front of a GC8?

Japanese spec Ohlins road and track. Haven't done any of them for a while. Quite a lot of the time the inserts are corroded and need re-chroming. How are yours? I think rebuild parts are available.

Have Ohlins on my S202 from Japan. Was thinking of getting them serviced and made a little more compliant.

The chrome insert (im assuming this is the piston bit) 'seems' perfectly fine. I'll know more once I've cleaned the crap off the rest of the shock. The dust cover (the springy plastic over the chrome) is still on but in tatters . Would you like me to get some pictures tonight? How much are refurb parts and/or do you provide a refurb service?

Also if I get them shot blasted will any of the material ingress into the shock? Trying to get them all shiny any new!

Giving them a call would be my opening gambit.

53,
Most Japanese spec Ohlins suffered from being harsh. I'll dig through my files to see if I have a good spec.
