Default INSURANCE HELP PLEASE

Hi guy's I've finally bought a subaru at last.
It's a jdm model finding insurance a bit tricky any recommendations I'm 42 & as clean as a whistle but it's been a 3 year gap since my last impreza.
It's an sti a line quite rare.

This. I've never been able to get ahold of him for a quote, nor did he ever return any of my calls after I left a voicemail!

I'm with Adrian Flux at the moment - they were the cheapest by a country mile.

26y.o with a mildly modified 05 JDM STI and only 1 year NCD.

Roy try Gary Moulsen at Keith Michaels, but you will have needed to owned a Subaru for a year before they will insure you, other than that try direct line, my mate just got insurance though them for his import.

Adrian Flux are shocking from service, hidden charges and customer service and general all round attitude. Rang Gary at Keith Michaels top bloke and a cracking price and all round customer service is spot on also, so another 👍 From me for Gary (Keith Michaels).

Did you explain to Greenlight that you had an impreza 3 years ago ? They nearly didn't insure me as i was going from a 170hp Leon to a 330hp impreza until i explained that before the Leon i had a 320hp impreza. Though i was insured on it with them so may have helped a bit.

If your car is more or less standard you could try Direct Line or Privilege. Privilege allowed me up to a 10% power hike over standard without penalty, which saw me through the first 18 months of Impreza ownership. Then the mods started and Keith Michaels took over!

Try moneysupermarket or gocompare website. Gives you plenty of options.

First place I tried mate but the problem is this subaru is not listed on any of the site's & cover needs to be on the exact model an equivalent is not good enough as in the event of a claim I'll get the middle finger.
Cheers.

Hi,
If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to take another look at it for you to see if there is anything more we can do. To be honest though most of the schemes that as for previous driving experience do normally require it within the last 12 months.
Regards,
Dan.

Adrian Flux offer me a cheap deal on my lightly modded B class turbo. No complaints from their service. Administration charges for minor changes are annoying as I deem them to be disproportionate to the work involved but I am aware of them and still find myself better off.

Ok guy's at last I'm sorted. I'll try to inform you of how I've got on after hours on the phone my brain is fried.
Comparison site's. Waste of time because with it being an sti jdm no car was close to matching it so the certificate wouldn't match the car.
Keith Michael. Spoke to Gary Moulson he was great very helpful and friendly service he was close to selling me insurance but I thoughtif I keep looking I should get it cheaper I'll be calling back next year.
Greenlight. I did explain that I hadowned 3 sti's before but wouldn't touch me with a barge pole for my first year good service and I will be calling back next year as their quote was cheapest.
Directline. The rep was poor had to keep putting me on hold to ask for help he couldn't find the car & wanted to put wrx sti type uk on certificate ! Yeah right I can imagine the phone call in the event of a claim. Jaygsi get your mate to check his certificate on his jdm to see if it matches.
A -plan. Happy days sorted at last thanks mark-scoobie & thanks to everyone else for your help. This forum is awsome.

Nice one. It can be a headache but rewarding when you get a good deal.
