I'm in two minds about which direction to go.
I want to run wider wheels and tyres so need to do something.
I'm not wanting to build a 22B replica, but I do prefer the look of the 22B arches obviously.
What would you do?

I made the same choice 18 month ago.i went for the Abw as I think they look more aggressive.i had mine exstended slightly aswell so they were a better fit.but I do love the back of a 22 b the width is awesome.i compared the 2 an decided on the Abw was more for the look I was after with my build.good luck in whatever route you decide
Wrc kit would be better than the 22b kit.
Tbh if you can afford to splash out then go for the wrc kit, or abw is better for the budget and gives the look that most are after.
I'll probably go with the abw arches tbh purely down to cost as I'm sick of throwing crazy money at car on extras lol. I'm only spending on stuff I 'need'.

ABW arches look cheap in comparison to proper wide arches, on that basis I would either leave standard or go all out. ABW imho is for track cars that need wider wheels for grip without the expense of a full on kit
Banny has just hit the nail on the head, the abw's are for cars used on track to accommodate larger wheels and wider track that's it. Everyone else who is using them for styling, they have been done to death!

I am in the same dilemma now for my type r but after getting quotes to fit and paint the 22b kit
the fender flares are an easy choice for me unless you want to tackle the cutting welding, fitting blending and smothing yourself.

It does depend on exactly what style you want from abw too. There is always a few option.
I have lots of there bits on my new 2 door hawkeye but we have gone for a certain over arched style with exposed bolts like the liberty walk kit.
Also makes them easier to change when I damage them.

WRC kit plus paint plus wheels minimum £6k. Bare minimum if you do everything to final paint prep yourself. And be handy with a welder for arch mods etc. I'm up to my neck in mine at the moment and going the whole hog down to mirrors, roof vent etc.
Google should reveal all.
22B is cheaper and easier to do.
