1. You need a folding mirror kit, dunno if they are still sold, Major sarcasm on here used to do them.

2. Mine's a classic, so no spoiler pics, sorry.

3. Could be a the MAF on the way out. Substitute a known working one. Don't believe the "tricks about disconnecting etc to see what happens, they don't work.

If it IS MAF, get it sorted asap, a dodgy one will kill your engine

Oh, and some idea as to what car/model/year, is useful when asking for info

There's definitely a problem there. your fuel gauge is faulty...it's reading above empty.

Seriously, the idle could be MAF related. It's not as bad a some I've seen.

Does the car have any mods?

the fuel gauge is normal. thats not the low fuel light

the idle also looks normal, they idle very low, and it'll jump if you put on aircon etc

is it standard car? or what all has been done to it?

has it been mapped for the induction kit? if not then it will idle different - id similar scenario when i fitted a cold air intake, the rev's dropped a little at idle until it was mapped for it

also, the difference between std airbox & induction kit airflow is massive on them so you really need it mapped for it

Got my A/C regassed last weekend and it was near stalling when it kicked in. Guy said i may be the compressor (or was it a pump) on it's way out. Well , whatever you call the bit on the A/C that gets belt driven !

Its a 'smart' alternator it only charges when there is increased load, what you are seeing is perfectly normal

If you do not know if the car is mapped then id advise you to either contact previous owner or else take it to a mapper to letthem check

Also, its not idle reset, its an ecu reset which has occured when battery run flat, all it does is clear the correction tables but car will adjust again after a few miles driving. It will not overwrite/wipe anything else

My car, an 09 sti, did exactly the same when i fitted the induction kit prior to mapping hence why im saying repeatedly get it checked out because if its not mapped it will be running lean now

The idle dropped even though the ecu thought it was still running at same idle rpm

Idle after fitting induction kit, not mapped

Idle after mapped for induction kit
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...pscmxcyaqr.jpg

In both instances the idle target value was the same but clearly the induction kit was effecting it in someway

Would help if it was the right way round. Has it been mapped for the AEM or not? If it hasn't, refit the standard airbox and filter instead of making little videos.

Have you enquired about the map? Or getting it mapped?

If you are driving it at all and the MAF is faulty, best of luck......

Don't touch a single thing on it otherwise they will blame the faults on you.
Take it back and don't accept it until it's fixed
