Default Timing belt cover hole

On the black timing belt cover on a classic Impreza has anyone ever have a hole, about 5p sized, that seems to have been punched through from the inside? (near battery)

cheers,

Woka

Normally happens when a timing belt idler bolt comes loose.
Would get it checked asap

It's on the ramps at RH as we speak.
Won't know the official diagnosis until Tuesday.
I was just curious if anyone had seen this before.
Engine seems to run fine.
