Hi, I wonder if you guys can help, I am looking for a running non turbo engine for a classic, in the south East if poss, been on all the usual sites but can't find what I am looking for, need one with no problems and at a good price, my uncle passed last October from cancer and unfortunately the engine in his pride and joy let go on the day of his funeral, we want to put another one in as his wife is learning to drive and what better way to remember him then to breath life back into his car.

I just want to add that this isn't a thread to tug heartstrings or a way of getting a cheap engine, we as a family have been part of the Subaru scene for many many years, I do not have the privilege of posting in the wanted section unfortunately otherwise I would have. This is a straight up request for info for an engine for my uncles car. During his final months he couldn't drive her and it cut him up, on starting her following his passing she was knocking, on the day of his funeral (all the families subarus attended as per his wishes) the knocking was worse and we couldn't take her, turns out the engine which has been to the moon and back is worn to excess, his wife has now decided she needs to drive and hence why we want to get his car done. So please if anyone does have a standard 1.8 or 2ltr running block they don't have a need for or they no someone who has can you let me know. I have found a few but all have problems. I may have to go down the route of buying a complete sport just for the engine.
