Nope - definitely registered as a Blue WRX STI

Having sold a Spec D at the back end of last year, I've noticed quite a number of "fake" Spec Ds being advertised as I am still being notified by Autotrader and I keep reporting them as Scams. This is the first blue one though.

A couple of 'mistakes' in the ad doesn’t mean it’s a bad car

Believe it or not some people don't have a clue when it comes to cars

I’ve had conversations like..............

Me - 'that’s a nice car, what model is it?'

Answer - 'it’s a petrol'

Maybe when he says 'owned from new'. He means first owner in UK?

It's better than a Spec D lol, why under sell it The very fact that it has a cable throttle means it's better in every way

Just hate drive by wire, never driven one that felt as good as a proper cable

Not sure whether this is linked to cable or wire but my Spec D was upgraded with PPP from new and I found the throttle extremely sensitive when manoeuvring until I had it remapped and asked for the sensitivity to be reduced. Thereafter, it was fine.

However, surely the cable would operate a potentiometer under the bonnet as opposed to in the foot well with a more direct control in the foot well or is the issue (which I was never aware of) that the method of controlling the engine speed is mechanical rather than electrical?

Seems he's just got the 2.5 spec d from the drop down list when finding car as it won't have import in list (maybe he should of manually entered it)
It does state 2.0 import in description.

Jeez folk are too quick to judge on here.

So why select a 2.5 then?

Yes, quick to judge because frustrating when a specific search for a Spec D throws up cars which are clearly not.

I don't know, it's not my listing, better ask seller why it wrong.
it was just my assumption before taking the **** straight away

If it was my listing, I'd list every dam thing Subaru related to get maximum exposure

There is no option to advertise a JDM car...they only list UK models

Leather seats and satnav and 528 bhp would suffice

Spec D is a nice car but there is no comparison to a JDM motor

I used mine properly and it really does need a massive amount of mods to make it worth driving.
