Awesome choice OP. Much better all rounder than the Subaru (not even a close comparison). Very quick and the gearbox is so damn good.
I drove one and loved it. A lot. Toying over buying one as we speak. Golf R felt good but the M135i was more precise and pulled harder. Yall love it.

My wife has a White 2015 m135i and it's quicker than my hatch the gear changes are seamless. I had the bmw LSD fitted as an extra makes a massive deference, although the service department didn't know you could retro fit one! Also put M3 front arms on to give it a bit more camber, it handles so much better with these upgrades. Oh and put a cheeky chip box on it made a big difference in power too. And I forgot the Eibach lowering springs! I do use it now and then.

My wife's got a pre face lift one and they are quick, especially with the ZF auto but as a previous post highlighted they're straight line monsters really, pretty ragged handling when pushing on i find.

Congrats, mate - you must be j!zzing in your pants!
babybmw.net is a great forum. There's a dedicated M135i section with lots of great info and advice. A few choice mods - H&R springs, decat, and JB4 box - turn an already very capable car into a serious weapon. The lines on the car are lovely, but a few aesthetic changes - black kidney grilles, spoiler, and a nice set of wheels - make it look even more stunning. Even the lads on here might be converted.
What spec have you gone for?
