Default 2008 sti 2nd cat emissions

Hi,if I was to run a decat downpipe, could I put in a sports cat where the 2nd cat is to make it mot legal?

You'd be best off finding a supply and fit company who take car of MOT's and getting one price for all.

I'm ok for mot's.. It's just I can get a decat downpipe at a good price,so just wondered if putting in a high flow cat where the 2nd one was would be enough?

The reason for the above was because they'd have the best understanding of it and have probably done it before.

Hopefully someone who's done it will be along shortly for you.

Think you will struggle to get it hot enough usually need the downpipe cat and can remove the ones after that, find a friendly mot man or fit a downpipe cat for mots

Thankyou markfey I do appreciate your advice .. Oh abd that was what I was thinking Jay. I'm a tester anyway and know how hard it can be with some of the older cars with lower back cats.
