Maybe it's just me getting older & out of touch but it has been bugging me to know more from a wider audience.

Over the last 12 months in particular I have noticed a proliferation of people in public spaces and also more alarmingly car drivers smoking weed.

Just the way of the world these days tony, people know they won't get locked up for it so why hide it, dont agree with smoking in cars full stop personally

 

Naah that ain't old pal and what your seeing is irresponsible idiots abusing the green and the law and numptys who don't have consideration for others whilst smoking the bud in public thinking it's cool it's not you mate and it is alarming but still guess it's better than getting drunk and causing nuisance or even drink and driving

 

I had a very funny experience just a few weeks ago.
The wife and I popped into sainsbury's to pick up a few bits on our walk home from town, she went inside while I sat outside on a bench to have a crafty ***.
Sat there for a few minutes playing on my phone etc, an elderly lady (I'd imagine mid 70's at least) came out of the supermarket and sat down next to me. I assumed she just wanted to rest her legs, we exchanged greetings and the usual moan about the weather etc etc.
I look away to see if the Mrs is in sight and when I look back at the old lady she's lighting up a 6" joint !!! I sat there in complete amazement, I must of had a shocked look on my face because she smiled and said it helps her with her arthritis.
It was quiet surreal to be honest, I couldn't help but grin as this little old lady puffed away on this huge joint like an old pro....

Even Republicans have changed their minds in the States when they saw budget deficits wiped in a year; all sales and licencing tax money goes into the state education system in Colorado. It`s big business with listed companies involved. Imagine council tax falling here, services improving, black market destroyed; though I`m not sure what would happen to the nation`s motivation long term !!

 

 

How does weed grow brain cells then?

Most people I know who smoke weed are a waste of space. Not motivation to get on and do anything at all they have no drive.

So yes they may not want to fight anyone but they are hardly a benefit to society....

 

It's harmless what hash head gets in a fight at the weekend?? I'm all for it if people want to do it its their choice I wouldn't like to see people driving right enough but in there own house crack on

 

It doesn't and in all honesty causes problems with young ones whose brains are still growing/wiring themselves in....Also motivation is a big problem too if it's not just used as a recreational thing, if you're smoking it during the day you are not getting much done lol

 

poor choice of words there bud lol. i would also like to know how it cures cancer? most people smoke a joint mixed with tobacco so a long term joint smoker is bound to be at risk of lung cancer? and it grows brain cells? wow i need to start smoking, i,ll be albert einstein in a week!

The THC and CBD extracts have marvellous medical benefits but I doubt even they could grow brain cells lol

I agree completely, I've seen so many people turn into paranoid skinny wierdos just from it.

It's interesting to hear different people's point of view on this matter. So many people are quick to say "I know a stoner who is a waste of space etc". I just want to put it out there that I know a lot of professionals who are stoners and earn mega money. And by professionals, I mean partners of accountancy firms, mortgage advisers, production directors for housing developers.

 

Wasn't really my point, anything used to excess is going to fcuck you up eventually.

Personally I think that anyone who wants to get hold of dope, coke, heroin, ecstasy etc. can do so pretty easily anyway, so why not legalise and control it properly?

Is there anyone here who doesn't agree that the 'war on drugs' has well and truly been lost?

 

Well and truly lost, best thing they could do is sell it themselves and claw some of the cash back they are losing on everything else!

 

I'd rather be a pothead than a pisshead or a smackhead never had any issues in my bud smoking life going on to 38 and got a clean licencse no criminal record to this date, if the government could control it meaning tax it I'm sure the would legalise it, I stopped drinking bout 12 years ago as it just wernt the same after the smoking ban and my daughter caught meningitis, loved going down the local labour club for a pint and a game of snooker but if your stoned you can soon become sober if wanted but if pissed out of your tree you ain't got a chance of getting back to the norm, just me and my opinion folks as we all have them

Maybe the symptoms of a smackhead maybe pal I go to the gym 6days a week 17stones over 6ft hardly get ill, city&guilds level2&3 in motor vehicles was employed as a manager in a multimillion pound company before I became a full time career only smoke it after kids are put to bed, always motivated to modify my scoob, sexually very active,

 

Don't know how old you are mate, but those symptoms more or less perfectly describe one of my best mates, who's been a cannabis user for the last 30 years.

 

all drugs are the same, whether it be cannabis, cocaine, alcohol , caffeine, sugar or paracetamol. Everything is fine in moderation.


too much of anything has negative implications on your health.


personally I think it COULD all be legalised but there's far too many idiots with no self control who would kill themselves in weeks.

Imagine alcohol getting banned, there would be uproar. Alcohol is the number 1 worst drug.

 

That would be a big day for Darwinian theory and the general good of the human race then!

 

Most drugs including heroin (the worlds greatest pain reliver prescribed to dying people by the nhs) has a medical benefit.
But the Alcohol that we all love that has no medical benefits what so ever and is enjoyed by millions as harmless! Everything in excess is harmfull including water. Educate yourselves instead of being the government's sheep!
