Cool

Glad you enjoyed it! The "lag" should come accross as slighly sluggish acceleration then a big surge of power from around 3000rpm, not necessarily a lurch though!

Hi all,

Been following the list for a few weeks now, and eventually got a drive in a MY99 uk spec impreza last night.

Coming from a GTE Astra, and driving in the wet - I have to say AMAZING !!!!

unbelievable car.

Also coming from a normally aspirated car I found gear changes a bit weird, in the astra you can just slam the clutch down and up instantly, and you have a very quick shift.

I found doing this in the turbo car that on lifting the clutch, and slamming the accelerator there was a lurch (presumably turbo lag??) and then acceleration.

Still, that turbo whistle is amazing : I've got to get me one of these!!

Simon.

Sounds like sloppy gearchanges to me. It took me ages to get rid of the lurch. Still - you can always get a new clutch under warranty
