Hi mate why do you want to strip paint off? Is paint flacking? If not just key them up and repaint.

Paint stripped would be best, but if there heavily corroded your best using a sand blaster on them.

If your going to paint them use a acid etch primer first before top coat otherwise the paint will flake off. Only problem is paint is quite thin and will chip off and look quite tatty after a year or so.

Best option would be having them powder coated, this is very hard wearing and will last a long time.

I originally painted mine in vht gold flake and vht high temp clear.
They didn't have any corrosion on them so I just took them apart then used a paint stripper on them.

Also fitted new seals before reassembling them.

Looked really good but after a year or so they did fade a bit, They were also covered in chips and scratches from removing wheels ect.
Also brake dust tends to get imbedded in the paint and make them difficult to keep clean.

Second time I fully stripped them down and sent them off to be powder coated orange.

This looks a whole lot better and doesn't chip off like paint. Also resistant to brake fluid and brake dust.

I'm actually in the process of having the colour changed again. I didn't really get on with the orange, it kinda clashed with the blue interior.

There now going to be a Vauxhall Arden blue metallic.

Looks like it's Vauxhall paint code L291 (Arden Blue). See this thread:

Sent them to brake caliper specialist fully stripped, cost me 70 per caliper to have them powder coated.

It's Vauxhall Arden blue metallic.
