Default ATI triple dash pod (newage)

Quick question does anyone know if you need the pop out inserts that come with an ATI defi triple dash pod in order to fit 52mm gauges or with the 52mm gauges fit the pod without the inserts.

there are like pre-cut pieces which needs to be broken to fit 60mm gauge, if they're not there it means the hole is 60mm
