Default Sell or not ?

Do I sell my wide track ? I no longer use it & it annoys me walking past it every day .

Ask yourself why it annoys you first ?
Because its in the way possibly or because you should use it and do not or can not , or its just a pure waste of a car meant to be driven ?
The reasons are yours , the answer is yours to determine .
Actually forget all that sh*te , sell it ! Let someone else enjoy it

It annoys me because it is wasted sitting there waiting to be driven , I use a van now & most weekends I am to busy to use it . Half of me doesn't want to let it go after 8 years of ownership but I feel some else could enjoy it now , I know it would sell easy but it's just a sad day if I do . My kids would also be heartbroken !

Personally I think if it's not a financial burden or taking up valuable space and just in the way you should keep it. If you regret it later on and think to buy another you will struggle to find a car that you have known for the last 8 years.

Before you make any decisions just have a day with the kids and go out and enjoy it. If then you feel differently then you know the answer is to set aside some time to just enjoy it.

Its a nice driveway ornament right enough , but at the end of the day if that's all it is then its time to move it on
No chance of finding time occasionally to enjoy ?

Also drive a van 6 days a week and hardly use the scoob as have a few motors at home to use just to get to a-b but when i get in the scoob to use always puts a smile on my face.

If you dont need to sell just enjoy it when you get the chance to drive it!!

I was in the same situation, don’t use mine much its sits in the garage most of the time

But the car owes me nothing, (except when I spend on it which is hard to resist )I have contemplated selling it about a year ago after owning it for 6 years, so glad I didn’t.!

A blast on the weekend reminds me why I keep it. At least yours does not cost £500 a year in road tax to sit on the drive like mine 

I looks a lovely example to fair play.....Just think, if you do sell it and change your mind will you find another one in that condition. Thats what I tell myself

You could view it as an investment - the value of these cars is increasing and if you're not using it much you're not adding miles and at the same time maintaining its condition.

I do about 1,000 miles a year in my widetrack and have thought about selling it, but I know that I can afford to run two cars and if I do sell it I'll only regret it, if you can afford to run it keep it mate.

I'm in a similar boat myself working 6 days a week using company van. Mine is sat on the drive but currently have got the funds to finish the project off. The wife wants me to get shot of it, I think I would probably regret it and the amount of money spent last year on it. It's a tough one.

Mine does the same, it only gets used every other weekend. Mostly I enjoy tinkering and maintaining it and adding mods here and there over the colder months.

Does get a lot more use over the summer time though

You can find occasions to drive if you want to. I work 60 hours per week, commute by train to work and have two young children. Still manage 10k miles in my Imprezas every year

I'd sell it personally if it was in a garage under cover fair play but IMO it will deteriorate left outside, this countries ****e climate. Such a stunning car you have been a great custodian to it but maybe it's time to let someone else enjoy it.

I was the same with my Type R but at least it was in my garage, which was also part of the reason I didn't use it much as it was just easier to jump in one of the cars on the drive.

You kind of have to make the effort to drive it, one sunday a month just to go for a blast for an hour or two, I used to use mine to go walking on Kinder scout and make a day out of it, go to Bakewell for a Proper Bakewell tart then down into Matlock for fish and chips and ogle the bikes, you can even take the Mrs and kids if you absolutely have to.

I'm in the same boat, very rarely use mine and it spends months at a time sat in the garage on the optimax but it the fear of regretting selling it why I've still got it as on the rare occasion I do get to use it reminds me of why I wanted one in the first place. The noise, the feel and the security of the 4WD system

I like a good drive out to Bakewell, good roads, stunning scenery and a good old Bakewell tart. But for Matlock I'd take the Bandit and mix wit the bikers on the front with my fish and chips, lol!

I used to do the Matlock thing quite a bit, my mrs is a Derbyshire lass and her dad used to live there, sadly my biking days are over but I do still go there for a walk and then fish and chips, usually go to the raft race on boxing day every year too, then round to the in-laws for a late lunch.

It depends if its garaged then keep it as will only go up in price, if its just sat on the drive then get shot, it will rust away, everything will seize and things will start to need replacing, seen that many people own nice cars and not wanting to part with them as they deteriorate over the years.
