Hi there, I've had many impreza's, mainly sti's but have seen a 1 owner from new gb270 at a very good price. No service history as the owner says her husband is mechanic and has looked after it. 54k miles. Are these just an updated wrx and still have the same issues as the 2.5 sti?

 

Yep. A GB270 is only a posh WRX 2.5. Same problems.

 

Not worth £6750 then?

 

Not without service history in my opinion. I never trust anyone that says "my husband/friend is a mechanic" etc etc.

It's cheap enough for a GB270 as they seem to sell for SLIGHTLY more than a WRX would, but I'd still be cautious.

 

Just make sure head gasket has been done or have a budget for when it go s . I had a gb270 last year . Done 54k. Bought from a garage and it went on the 2nd day . Luckily I got them to foot the bill
