Default Cold air intake advice

Hi all the turbo timer idea has died lol, the other item I was looking to put on was a cold air intake, do these work or is it best to stick with the standard factory filter which I'm running at the moment with a kn panel filter, I've been looking at the k and n typhoon kit, any suggestions welcome.

newage the standard airbox is good for 400bhp with a decent panel filter. I asked the question not long ago.

If you want the noise then fair enough but if you would rather save the money then do just that. I have a perrin wing air intake on mine and have that because im currently running 420bhp and will eventually go for 450bhp otherwise if my plan was to stick with 400bhp i would have just used a panel filter.
