Use some Meguiars ultimate compound on a cutting pad followed by Megs polish on a polishing pad and then finally a glaze/wax and you will probably be able to remove them, if they are really deep you can atleast smooth out the sharp edges of the scratch and make them significantly less visible, if you dont have a machine polisher then it might be worth paying for a detailer to do it.

This is a good example of what can be achieved

I asked about compounds as a car paint supplier once warned me about TCut in particular, this sh*te contains amonia that actually bleaches the paint = pink cars

I've never used T-Cut, but I'm unsure what the guy who polished it for me used.

T-cut is a very poor and primitive compound, If your paint has faded under the lacquer (clear coat) the is nothing you can do due to the fact that when you use a compound its removing marks in the lacquer. If you have old school single stage paint that has oxidized then you can normally bring a colour back to its original glory. minor swirl's can be removed 20-30+ times because they are so shallow.

This shows the basic details off it.

washing your car in the winter with poor technique normally results in horrible spider web swirls all over it

Dont know how well this photo will upload or if it will do the car justice, its got no filters or rubbish on to enhance it.

Used

Megs shampoo
Mega Clay Bar
Megs Ultimate compound (machine)
Megs Ultimate Polish(Machine)
Megs Sealant
Autoglym HD Wax

The car looked like it was 10 years younger

2000wet flat and machine polish with g3 or 3m fast cut(green top) dont flat to much as subaru paint is thin and will go through. If not confident a local bodyshop shouldnt charge alot to do it.
