Default What next for my car?

Just wanted to gather a few ideas as to what to do next with my blob sti, its currently running 328 bhp and has a full 3" turbo back exhaust, scooby clinic cais, uprated fuel pump. I would like to keep the top mount intercooler for standard looks, would bigger injectors and a remap be worthwhile or would i need other supporting mods?

If you want more power on the standard turbo it's gonna be minimal for the cost, so bigger turbo for power or twinscroll for torque/spool/power, injectors are fine for another 40-50 bhp before you need to think about changing

Yeah i should of mentioned, i dont really want to change turbo yet so just seeing whats realistic upto that point. So would injectors alone be a decent gain?

best your going to get with the little things you can do is 10-20bhp more for a **** load more expense. Worth it - Of course not.

Its turbo time, and if you have a good brain under your bonnet, you will go twinscroll.

I thought the standard turbo would be good for more than 330 bhp, what is needed to go twinscroll and any ideas of the cost i would be looking at?

varies from car to car, also depends on what dyno and how much risk the mapper puts into the map

330bhp is about the right ball park so 328 is pretty much bang on

As I said, extra 20bhp, is it worth it? Nope.

Different rolling roads will give different readings, you probably have a GENUINE figure rather than one with the duty raised so you can say it has 360bhp, which it probably dosent.

I'd be working on the handling & dynamics of the car / it's not all about power ...
If your not wanting to up the turbo & intercooler put a cpl grand into what I said & it'll transform the car .. The list is endless so depending on how far you want to take it , work out a budget & configure what works with what to get the best for your buck
Good luck

Already have coilovers, whiteline ARBs, braided brake lines, godspeed discs and friction pads, short shift kit and a few other bits, just exploring the routes for a bit more power, engine was rebuilt too with forged pistons etc so set up for a bit more power really

Theres no reason why you can hit 350 on the vf35 if its in good nick, i have on mine. Im running 350 with a full decat exhaust, panel filter and a remap.

Has yours been mapped to suit your current mods?

It's not as simple as just saying it should be x power. different cars make different power. 330bhp is about the right ball park.

Also depends on the dyno and if it over reads and if the mapper will take more risks with it or not.

As tidgy says its a ball park figure of 330-340. If your lucky you can get a 35 that will make more. Mine made 340 on a bug sti. I fitted ported headers whch probably helped a bit. As said it's turbo time for more power. 20g is probably a good bet.

So if i were to go twinscroll is it just the turbo that i need or are there other bits too? Anyone have a rough idea of the cost? Cheers

To go twinscroll for the full lot with a standard VF37 will cost you 1k ish, what is power aim/intended use for the car?

VF35's were designed for 0.9 bar rather than 1.5, they will take it but only for so long imo, plus they are all getting on a bit now, at least 10 years old in most cases. As been said your turbo is the limit, how about something like an SC36, the cars I have been in with them fitted go very well indeed and the power will work fine with your Tmic, should spool really nice as well
