Anyone know how to remove this ? It's an xtrons. I've bought some keys but it still doesn't seem to be budging ? Is there another way like removing the whole facia around it ?

Thanks

You need to remove the radio trim, including the heater controls.
Double dins are held in with mounting screws.

Get an old bank card or something plastic and it will clip out. Dont use screw driver you may damage it. Then as said stereo screwed in with small philips head screws.

As mentioned, I used a butter knife and started by popping out the
top left corner of the surround, it should pop out easy enough. Then
work your way round clockwise using your fingers.

Once the surround is off you will see screws holding the stereo in, just
unscrew and lift the stereo out. The stereo is held in with a plate on either
side, remove the screws from the side and keep the plates.

Then take the xtrons unit and **** that piece of **** in the bin as that's
the best place for it. I replaced mine with a oem unit from the bay for the
princely sum of £20 delivered and it does the job fine.

Good luck.

P.S. You will probably find that when the xtrons crap was installed
that the surround trim was cut at the top and bottom to make it
fit as they are not a standard double din size so if you are a
perfectionist you will need to source a replacement surround aswell.

Yeah surround is slightly damaged, will be looking around to find a replacement for sure.

Took it all out no problems, thanks for tips :-) main reason I wanted to get behind it was because there was a boom box amplifier crap connected to it in the boot, whoever had it before me did a tidy job wiring it up to be fair to them, it's out now though.

Does anyone know the name of the connection end ? I assume it's xx male because it has the pins. The other end of that connection is an old iPhone connection. Want to replace it with the lightning cable for iPhone instead

Thanks

I've had a look on eBay, can't seem to find that cable with iPhone connection on the other end ?
However I do have one though but it's just the old iPhone connection not the new one, any idea where I can get one ?

Thanks
