Would be nice to get feedback off someone who has actually seen the car as it does look good.

Do forgive me if I'm wrong mate, but you can pay deposits etc through PayPal as the seller can send you a request through your designated email address, I've been paid 250 through PayPal just to give the buyer assurance that car was right he happily paid then rest on collection everybody happy, as long as the buyer don't take the biscuit after sale works both ways

Saw that JDM blob, think a few people I know sent a message through Ebay and didn't get a reply back. defo a scam!!!

One of the biggest scams with cars to cheap to be true is that they will tell you that they have had loads of interest and that if you really want it then to leave a deposit through bank transfer, and if you say that you want to come straight away and pay cash they will tell you there at work until late.

Zero feedback usually gives it away.

I also noticed that all the services have been done in the midlands Coventry/Tamworth & car in London.Probably is dodgy or someone gonna get a barg,or won't sell as nobody will bother presuming it's hooky.Anyway looks a very nice carriage.Shame there's no phone number.

A site that may help sniff out a few dodgy motors...https://mot-history.net/

It will give you the MOT details of any car (just reg and make required) as well as milage and mot history including advisories and failures. It doesnt work for all cars but worked for most I tried. This one didn't show as it happens.

It belongs to the government despite the .net moniker. At least it appears to be and all my car details etc are correct as are those of my friends cars that I tried.

It will be someone's car that was for sale recently and they have stole the pictures. Or it could be legit and the guy is honest and just signed up on Ebay to sell his STi £2-3k cheaper then any other similar Impreza STi.

Still hasn't sent a message back yet!!

there are bound to be a few poor sods that just look at the car valuation guides and advertise as such.

a variation of this scam works like this

guy advertises car quite cheap

gets interest by buyers wanting to buy/view - but says he is away at the moment, so before he makes a journey back - to show you are serious, simply wire some money - to yourself (this is the clever confidence bit, not to the scammer but to you, what's the risk right!!)

but you must send him the details of the transfer (to western union) to prove to him you have done it (that's the catch)

"mmm, what's the harm, I mean the money has been sent to myself - yes"

well yes, but the scammer has the details of the transaction (usually to a crap western union outlet)

so he simply turns up with all the details of the transaction posing as you and BOSCH, "in off the black", withdraws the money
