Default are they all type uk?

Hi guys I am in the process of buying a 04 blobeye sti and my insurance say asked was it a type uk or wr1 and I said it will be a type uk. I don't have the reg at the moment to check with the dvla etc. So my question is will it be a type uk car? They are very funny with the name on the log book etc

Thanks

it could be either mate, generally if its a type uk it will have it on the badge underneath the sti logo if it hasn't and it has a rear wiper fitted itll be a jdm model.

wr1's are only available in a light blue colour too.

Thanks for the reply. I know its Deffo a UK car and has the ppp. I know the difference to a degree on most models Inc the wr1 and how to spot a jdm but I can't find the answer to this one unfortunately. I haven't seen a pic of the boot or under the bonnet for a type uk sticker either

cant see from the picture im afraid. The advert only had 1 picture until more could be taken. I'm waiting for salesman to get back to me. Having a ppp from factory including the certificate, i would assume its a uk car? it doesn't have the wind deflectors or rear privacy glass i would associate with a jdm model and nor have i seen a jdm with them wheels, not that im an expert or anything.

thanks for the reply

Wind deflectors are a 100 option from dealer.
Can be retrofitted to any car as they are just double sided taped on.
Rear wiper or orange dials are the giveaway as these are difficult to fit to a UK car

Also, if you start it up and it sounds like a nova with a coke-can exhaust, rather than the classic Subaru burble, then it's deffo a JDM

Not in a million years. Un-equal you will always have exhaust pulses smashing into each other. Why you think all high revving Subarus have equal length manifold

explains why theres no need for aftermarket ecu, or why the 2.5 keep ****ting itself, O wait subaru must have got that right as well

if you really wanna go and argue the point with pat be my guest, its very funny when people do question his technical knowledge

Jesus the scooby clinic fanboi is gonna have a heart attack.
I offered no technical advice at all but for what its worth i agree the 2.0 twin scroll newage is the way to go.
Hawk ra is the one impreza I'd go for out of them all.

So why didn't they just run JDM cars for rallying?

it's all about spec vs cost, the impreza is not the ultimate it could be
