Default New blob on the road

Hey guys, I finally got myself a lovely sti It's a bore stock lhd 05 blob with 50k km (31k miles), but I suspect it used to be a drag car... Anyway I'm happy with it and if (or when) it fails It'll get forged and faster I do hear some engine noise when cold which I was told is most likely from worn our pistons/rings. And there is some engine knocking and a really bad remap to take care of first.

I have a strange question regarding the car itself. If someone could shed some light on the following combination of "features":

2005 blob with hawk interior (black steering wheel, silver console with automatic AC, etc) - as it should be I guess?
Not widetrack - should it be? I haven't measured anything, but the wheels are 5x100 which led me to believe it isn't widetrack.
The ecu is 01/02 JDM as per romraider's FAQ - Why or how a 01/02 JDM ecu can end up in a 05 EUDM sti?
VIN says it was manufactured late 2004 (end of September) and all paperwork says start of January 2005 - not that much of a difference?

If the car was manufactured in 2004 it's not a widetrack. Most subarus have a bit of piston slap when started from cold. As long as not doing it once warm there may not be a problem.

The car drives absolutely fine and everything seems to be in a great shape. My original plan involves a forged build and I'm not that concerned about the engine, as long as the block is fine.

Any suggestions about why it has the 05 interior and equipment, but no the rest? Or did subaru changed it in 04?

I have an 05 interior fitted to my JDM MY 03 WRX. Any Subaru breaker can source them.

What is the ECU Code? Any pictures?

Did you fit the automatic A/C as well? This is the part the makes me think it was the original equipment and interior - wouldn't fitting that take too much effort and money just for the sake of selling the car, for which I did not pay a premium price? The car was also manufactured with LHD as per the VIN.

The ECU is 1B04490605/A4SD700B

I added a couple of pics to my gallery (all from the outside...): https://www.scoobynet.com/g/album/4046872
