Has anyone noticed that the rear wing on the WRC car is mounted on the boot so far back, it hangs over the rear edge by what looks to be a couple of inches? Does the car need to be a certain length?
Is there a real reason?
(edit: BTW, I'm talking about the bottom bit of the rear wing, which is solid like the STi wings)

The spoiler has been hung over the back, so it is still giving downforce when the car is sideways... which it is a lot
The ruling on length is determined by wheelbase.

It fills another very important function as well.
It distracts me from getting irritated at the fugly frontend.
Now I'm farkin irritated at the unbelievably ugly wing. *ehueheuheueh*
